DIY Mini Jewelry Rolls
These jewelry rolls can be a cool gift for any girl, especially a bridesmaid. The supplies are 3-4 fat quarters, clear vinyl, fusible batting, double fold bias tape, 3 zippers – 7″ wide, a rotary cutter, cutting mat and quilting ruler, a disappearing ink pen, a sewing machine and related supplies, iron and ironing board. Sewing won’t be difficult if you know how to use a sewing machine. When you have the vinyl in your machine, make sure to have a long tail of thread. Hold on the tail when you start sewing the vinyl. Cozy DIY Appliqued Fall Leaf Pillow
For fall décor make some wreaths, garlands, lanterns and add a soft pillow inspired by this beautiful season. To make an autumn pillow you’ll need 20×14″ rectangular pillow form, 20×14″ rectangle of white fabric for the pillow front panel, 14×13″ rectangles of fabric for the pillow back panels, fabric scraps, coordinating thread, fusible web, a pencil, iron-on letters.
To begin, print off and cut out each of the leaf templates, then iron a section of fusible web to the back of each of the leaf fabric pieces according the product instructions. Arrange the templates on the paper backing side of the fused pieces and trace with a pencil. Cut each leaf out with shears. Repeat until you have the desired number of leaf shapes. DIY Floral Patterned Sleeping Mask
We’ve already told you of some sleeping masks to make – they are a must-have for those who don’t want to be disturbed with any light. To make a floral patterned sleeping mask you’ll need a template, a pencil or fabric chalk, scissors, fabric. Cut out the template along the outer line. Lay the piece of batting on your work surface and trace around the template unto the batting with your pencil. Cut the batting along this traced line. Repeat this tracing and cutting for all of the fabrics. Trim the template again, along the inner line. Center the smaller template on the batting and trace around it. DIY Zippered Pouch With A Felt Monogram
We’ve already told you of some pouches and pencil cases to make for the new school year and here’s one more idea to the list – a simple zippered pouch that won’t take much time to make. The supplies are scrap fabric, a zipper, a sewing Machine and thread, felt and embroidery thread. Cut two triangles that are roughly 10″ x7″ and two smaller pieces that are about 2″ by 4″, roughly. Take one of your larger rectangle and hand stitch on your embellishment or monogram. Take you zipper and two smaller rectangles of fabric. With right sides in, stitch each rectangle to the two ends of the zipper. The rest of the tutorial is here, finish the pouch and put your pencils and pens inside.
